האנייה PAULA של Jumbo/SAL פרקה בנמל הדרום שני מנופי Liebherr LHM 550 (391 טונות כל אחד), שהובאו מרוסטוק שבגרמניה. הספינה עצמה מצוידת בשלושה מנופים (עד 320 טונות כל אחד, מקסימום משולב 640 טונות) ובמערכת "מייצב" ייחודית לאיזון עצמי בזמן פריקה.

PAULA Vessel Discharges Heavy-Lift Cranes at Southern Port

The vessel PAULA, operated by shipping company Jumbo/SAL, discharged a very heavy cargo at the southern port: two Liebherr LHM 550 cranes, destined for the port itself for general cargo handling. Each crane weighs 391 tons. The cranes were loaded onto the vessel at the port of Rostock, Germany, along with additional components required for their operation.

PAULA is a "smart" vessel equipped with three cranes: one with a lifting capacity of 200 tons, and two with a lifting capacity of 320 tons each. The maximum combined lifting capacity of this specific vessel is 640 tons.

The vessel features a special self-balancing system that includes a "stabilizer" — a heavy, water-filled tank mounted on the side of the hull opposite the discharge side. It functions to effectively "widen" the vessel and thereby increase its stability span.
